XEMG Liyuan Packing and Transportation Co., Ltd is the transportation, packing and storage subsidiary of XEMG. It was founded in 1950s and at that time the river transportation was the main business form and the land transportation was the secondary. Beside the Xiangjiang River, there is a cargo dock and a stock house built by the company. They were responsible for the storage and transportation of the materials and machine. The transportation to work place was taken on land. This transportation form lasts until 1952. By 1949, the transportation facilities were just one landing vessel, 8 trucks(International, Ford and Dodge), one American military jeep and one 500 m2 stock house beside the River. But now, the company has 154 employees and the registered capital of 5.9279 million yuan. The train has been the main transportation form and the company provides the transportation service for more than 80% of XEMG’s products. XEMG Liyuan Packing and Transportation Co., Ltd. now becomes an integrative service unit, which services include transportation (land, river mainly) and packing. The company has the dedicated railway of 20km, which stretches to the subsidiaries, plants and outside for connection to everywhere in China. There are four secondary departments, that is office, inner railway station, truck team, and packing & storage department. The technicians and management personnel are all experienced and have experienced the packing and transportation of cargo of railway, highway, rive and flight. Now the company has the transportation capacity of one steam locomotive and one internal-combustion engine locomotive, 60 trucks and the packing & storage area of 10600 m2. Among these, the company itself owned 20 trucks, 5 lifts(cranes) and more than 20 packing machines.
     The company is continuing to improve the management and the service quality. It has the sufficient capacity and service to satisfy the transportation needs of XEMG and other companies. In 2004, the company got the certificate of ISO9000:2001 due to one of its features, having complete documentation system. For future, the company’s target is that packing smartly and expanding transportation capacity. In the plan for the recent years, the company will keep its advantages of scale, technique, management system and manpower to cooperate with XEMG for their mutual benefits.
