Y, YKS Series Medium-scale 10kV HV 3-phase Asynchronous Motors (base No. 450-630)
A) General
Y and YKS series medium-scale HV 3-phase asynchronous motors are our own designed products by introducing the new technology for Westinghouse (USA) and BBC(Switzerland) in 1985, and according to IEC standards. They are can be connected to 10kV network directly and have the features of compact, low cost and energy-saving.
These products are used to drive normal machinery, such as compressors, ventilators, pumps and crackers. The power grades, mounting dimensions and performance of our products comply with national, Machinery Ministry’s and IEC standards. These motors are designed using CAD tools and the windings are made of F class insulation materials and have a discharge-resistant structure. These motors are with features of high efficiency, energy saving, low noise, low vibration, less weight, reliable performance and easy to maintain.
B) Structure Description
Y series motors are the basic products with invasion protection of IP23 and cooling condition of IC01.The protection covers on the top of these motors can be removed and replaced with other covers or coolers to derive different invasion protection classes and cooling conditions, such as YKS, YKK, YQF(climate-resistant) and YRKK.
The mounting type of the motors is IMB3.
Our motors are box structures, which prevail in world currently. The bases are all welded by steel plate and with sufficient rigidity and less weight.
The stators of our motors are mounted by outside press method and the windings are made of materials of F insulation class and discharge-resistant materials. Winding ends are all fixed with special operation and secured reliably, and the complete stators are treated with VPI technique. By these, our motors have excellent insulation, damp-resistant and impact-resistant performance.
For the squirrel cage, there are two types- cast aluminum and copper. The copper bars are secured in slots and welded securely at the ends.
The bearings are rolling bearings or sliding bearings with IP54 class. For rolling bearings, they are lubricated with grease and grease filling and discharge tools are provided for non-stop lubrication. For sliding bearings, they are lubricated with oil and the oil supply devices should be prepared by users. The efficiency of the motor is allowed to be a certain less than the specified according to relevant standards of the Machinery Ministry. The primary terminal box is designed according to the relevant DIN standards of Germany with IP 54 class. It is commonly mounted on the right side (view from shaft end) and can be on left side on request. The cable outlet of the connection box can be switched upwards, downwards, leftwards or rightwards. The connection box has a separate PE terminal.
The motor commonly has one extended end and the couple key is the flat type. The motor also can be designed to be dual extended ends on request. According to the customer’s request, thermo sensors will also installed in the stator windings and bearings to measure the temperature rise.
C) Working Conditions
a) Altitude ≦1000m.
b) Ambient Temp. ≦400C; for rolling bearings >-150C; for sliding bearings >50C; for YKS and YRKS >50C.
c) Maximum month average RH of the most humid month <90% and the month average of lowest temperatures of that month <250C.
d) Power Frequency Variation: ±1%.
e) Fluctuation of Rated Voltage <5%.
f) Working Duty: S1.
If the moment of the driven load will exceed the specified one(load J) or frequent starts will occur or heavy load will be encountered, the technical agreement shall be made prior to order.
D) Order Information
a) Model, rated voltage, power, rated speed and the load performance must be specified in the order.
b) The following products beyond these motors can also be supplied and the technical agreements are required before order.
1) Motor other than those listed.
2) Motor with the cooling method and IP class other than Y(IP23) and YKS(IP44) series.
3) Wound Motor
4) Vertical mounted one
5) With two poles
6) Motor mounted with thermo sensor and space heater, or
7) With other requirements
